On May 15, 2023 the Division of Asset Capital Management and Maintence (DCAMM) released a relocation assessment containing a list of thirteen potential sites for the Roderick Ireland Courthouse, beginning with the reconstruction of the courthouse at it’s current location: 50 State Street. The critera DCAMM used to evaluate and assess the potential site locations included property ownership, proximity to public transportation, parking, environmental conditions, regulatory compliance, and sustainability.
According to the officials, the project could take a minimum of six or seven years to complete, estimating that the total project cost ranges from $419 million to $531 million.
